Do you have Metal Allergies?

Contributor: Zakkie Zakkie
Metal toys are such a temptation for me. It has such a clean, smooth, sleek and classy look. Not to mention SO SHINY! Metal toys look a little more elegant than anything I've seen in silicones.

The metal tempts me with its looks, but fear keeps me from trying it out. I have a few piercings and because of them I found out I tend to be sensitive to copper and nickel and have even had problems from stainless steel. It has me scared to use anything but gold and titanium in my piercings. I'm even more worried about trying anything metal near more sensitive bits and pieces.

So my questions are: Anyone ever have any allergic reaction to a metal toy before? If so, what kind of metal was it? Did a different kind of metal work better/worst for you? Do you just love metal toys and want to shout their glory to the world?

I've never had a reaction. But if you've had problems with stainless steel, you probably want to stay away. Most metal toys are made out of it.

Hi! You might already be aware but I just wanted to let you know that a nice alternative to metal would be glass! There are tons of glass toys on EF. I would suggest to check out Icicles or SAA Glass. In addition you can just search for glass and go through the results.
