Who in your relationship is more knowledgeable about toys?

Today I visited my partner,and when I opened our toy safes they were so messy! Lube everywhere, silicone and glass toys out of their bags, it was ridiculous. Luckily everything was okay (if a bit sticky) but I had to tell him once again how to take care of everything. For the life of him he can't remember which materials are compatible with what, and other similar things stump him too. He can't even tell whether some of our toys are glass, plastic, or silicone!

So, I was wondering: who in your relationship knows more about your toys? Do you agree on who knows more? Do you hold surprise tests on the EF Material Safety Scale to prove your knowledge? Please share!

my boyfriend as recently said he wants a toy and like with every thing else the brand he heres about most is obviously the best were i research and look at all toys to know wat is the highest quality without getting ripped off

With every guy I've been with, it's always been me who was the knowledgeable one. I know what's safe, what's not, what works, what doesn't, materials, lubes, etc etc.

I am the more knowledgeable one, just because I have been doing research for reviews. But we have talked about it so he has an idea. I am trying to get him involved in reviewing on his own because he is such a great writer, then we will both be knowledgeable.

I've been the buyer and caretaker of our toys so far, which gives me the benefit of having done research, as well as hanging out in the EF community. She has an undertanding of material compatibility and toy care, but she's not been nearly as active looking at the 'technical' side of things.
