It's my understanding that ribbed condoms are pretty widely considered to be something of a joke, as most women don't notice the alleged texture at all. It's not like on a good quality toy.

My guess is that the girth of your partner makes as much of a difference as your own sensitivity as to how much the ribbing adds to the sensations. A cock of above-average girth stretches/flattens the ribbing to some extent.
