I started out using TPE just because it happened to be the material of my first toy, ever (a little G-spot vibe). I still have a number of a TPE toys and even though I prefer silicone, there's something about the feeling that I actually really like. How about you? Any maligned materials that you actually like and want to defend?

I usually only use silicone, glass, and plastic, but I have to say, I've owned a toy that was made of TPE and I really enjoyed it.

I think TPE gets a worse rap than it deserves. You can use silicone lubes with most, and unlike jelly and cyberskin, they're chemically stable. They also are not as prone to chemical contamination like other cheaper materials. Really the only thing silicone has over it is complete sterilizability, which can be somewhat mitigated with condoms.
