What can be sanitized and I heard there are toxic stuff in toys, is that true?

How do you sanitize toys, and can they all be sanitized? Is there something in particular that I should use when I clean them? Also If I use a condom on all my toys do I still need to sanitize them or will washing them with antibacterial soap be good?

I just started doing this reviewing thing and I'm kinda learning alot so one thing I'm unsure about is are there really like toxic stuff in lubes or some toys? If so what are they, and what do they do to you health wise??

Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

I'm sure browsing some of the threads in this section (Materials) would be most helpful. Check the ratings on all toys.

The safest ones are silicone, glass and metal, because they are nonporous and do not have toxic chemicals. Less safe materials are generally not as regulated and such can have all sorts of toxic chemicals. Not only that, but they can have microscopic pores in the material that you'll never get clean. Jelly and rubber toys are some of these. Always use a condom with these toys and a good rule of thumb is to not share them.

Reading reviews on each product and the instructions for cleaning each type of material is a good way to figure out which are safe. If you can't get it clean, why would you want to put it inside you? (Ew.)

Hope that helped.
