About cordless ben wa balls...

I have the smartballs and I love them! I'm really excited to get more kegel exercisers, possibly made of glass. But the lack of a cord really concerns me. So, ladies... how exactly do you remove them? Um, there's no chance it will get stuck?

No, they shouldn't get stuck in any way. Usually you can squeeze and release your muscles to get them out. If that's not quite working you can use a finger or two to guide the balls out.

Usually ben wa balls can want to come out on their own because they're smaller and heavy. Like if you sneeze they'll sometimes pop out. My husband and I lovingly refer to this as "laying an egg".

One good position to get them out is to squat on the floor and just push them out. My stainless steel ones have never gotten stuck, though. You will probably have to use more effort to keep them in than getting them out. So don't worry.

I just took the ones without plugs off my wishlist. I got scared too on what if they don't come out. I don't think I want to take the chance.

Don't worry. Your vagina is closed off, so they can't migrate and get lost inside of your body. They may need to be coaxed out with your fingers sometimes, but that's about it.

I don't like them. I have fairly strong muscles and had a panic attack trying to get the damn balls out!

I have been on my own kegel exercising journey, so I might actually be useful in this department.

First of all, I do not recommend glass kegel balls unless you want them for fun and not for exercising. This is really just my experience and opinion, but if you're enjoying the rumble you get from your kegel balls and you do feel that they are causing your muscles to work, you'll likely find that glass balls are lacking.

Thing is, I thought the glass kegel balls were so beautiful so I wanted them. Also, I have a very tough time finding balls that work for me because the average kegel ball is way too large for me and ends up not causing me to work out, or either being way too large to even insert. So I thought glass would be perfect since most of them are quite a bit smaller than your average kegel ball. Wrong! They do nothing for me. My PC muscles were not getting any workout while using them. I'd used only the kegel balls with internal balls before trying the glass ones or else I think I'd have kept using them, thinking they were working.

Also, the glass balls do not have an internal ball to roll around (the part that produces the rumble sensation) and therefore it causes you NOT to actually work your muscles anywhere near as much as you do with a kegel ball that has the internal ball rolling around.

I have tried the loose balls (with no cord or harness) and find them much more of a hassle than with a harness. They cannot get lost in you, but I don't like that I have to dig so hard sometimes to get the balls out. I really like the harness more, especially because if you're using kegel balls with a harness, it tends to keep them in line -- one directly on top of the other -- instead of allowing them to shift around, and this makes me feel like my workout is better.

How do you remove cordless kegel balls?

You dig. And dig. And dig! I usually can get the ball closest to my entrance out no problem, but have trouble getting the second ball out. I even ended up sleeping with one ball inside me last week because it just wasn't coming out easily. It travels further up into your vagina (which also brings up more concern for me in the area that it travelling further up may cause you to workout less since when using a corded/harnesses balls, they're closer to your entrance, where the workouts are supposed to happen) and while it is impossible (I promise!) for it to travel to another body part or truly get lost in you, it can be a bitch to get it out because you often cannot reach your fingers too far in there.

It's not always that tough. I sometimes find that when I'm turned on like when I'm wearing my kegel balls and my partner and I end up fooling around, I go to remove them after foreplay and before sex, and they're easier. So instead of panicking, just try relaxing with a vibrator on your clitoris. It makes them come out easier. Also, sitting on the toilet seems to help. And eventually, walking around will cause them to fall out because your muscles can only work out for so long before they give up! This has happened to me many times -- I'll do too much walking around and the balls end up sliding out on their own!

Anyways, since I cannot use the average sized kegel ball, I use the Luna Mini Beads everyday. They are so far my absolute favorites! Now, if you can handle the size of the Smartballs & like the deep rumble they produce, but want more weights to choose from, I think those Twinny balls are very, very similar. They're big though and I couldn't even insert them, but I could tell how similar they were to Smartballs by holding them. They do have a removal cord too!

I also tried the BK kit and they didn't give me a workout very much at all. So I've stuck with the Mini Luna Beads and have been using them, I think since August of 2012. I quit using the harness for a while because it had an odor -- like mildew! But I finally got rid of it after about 3 times boiling and doing a bleach/water cleaning method, so I'm back to wearing them in their harness. I could have sworn the past week that I started using them in their harness again (not loose balls) my muscles weren't as strong! I noticed they kept wanting to slide out a lot quicker than usual, so that is why I believe the loose balls don't give as much of a workout as the balls with a harness where they're lined up correctly inside you.

Well, I hope some of this was helpful. Basically, you just use your fingers to remove them and if there's trouble, wait for them to move down closer to the entrance. Or like I said, try getting turned on. Once I had to have my partner remove my glass egg. I could not reach, so I sat squatted down a little and he reached in for it. It can be uncomfortable tough, to dig like that.
