Color Refusal

Contributor: TitsMcScandal TitsMcScandal
So, for the first time, ever, I decided I cannot buy a toy unless I buy it in a specific color. The Little Paul vibrator [from FunFactory] is offered here in pink and baby blue. Usually I do have a preference in color, but not something set in stone. This is the *first time* that I refuse to buy it unless I can get it in the baby blue. I've never experienced this before!!! I usually don't care that much about color. After all, it is going in me, and color doesn't matter then! But it looks like such an awesome baby blue. I set an alert for when the baby blue color comes back in stock so I can snatch one up!

What about you, are the any toys that you have NEEDED in one of the colors offered and the other colors just didn't appeal to you? Have you never cared about color? Other?

Very interesting! Um... looking over my toys I have gotten toys in a less preferred color if I liked the toy enough. I have NOT gotten a toy if I could only get flesh, white, or black if another color was offered. I have waited a few times but have always given in.

I’m quite new to the site, but while browsing I find that I’d only want a certain color. I like fun colors, it make play time more appealing to me, even if it just goes inside me. I guess I have to be attracted to it, lol. May sound a bit silly. But if there was a toy I really wanted and it only offered it in a color that wasn’t appealing to me, I'd more than likely give in, depending on the toy.

I wait, even if I really want the toy, I won't get it unless I have it in the color I want. That happenned to me with the ryder.

For ball gags I think I would be able to make an exception such as black ball instead of a red one, but I am still waiting for red.

I wanted the LELO Liv in lime green. I haaaad to have the lime green. It seems like color really shouldn't be all that important, but when a color you love is offered, nothing else will do!

I hate pink. Anything pink is repulsive to me exception being the artist, Pink.

With some toys there is no choice as to color but more options are now being offered. I want a toy that has immed. sensory appeal, including color.

In most cases I would wait it out if a product came in a color I liked, but was out of stock. I held out for a red pearl dildo instead of a purple.

When shopping, I always purchase my pleasure items in purple. Usually if it does not come in that color, I do not purchase it. Funny how color makes such a huge difference.

It can make a huge difference to me on occasion. There have been a few that I didn't buy because I couldn't get a particular color.

It always matters to me. I see it this way - it's not so important that I NEED it now, so why not at least wait until I can get the color that I like?

Sure! I figure, your taste in toys is much like your taste in (whatever sex you're attracted to). I'm drawn towards different colors in different toys like I'm drawn to different characteristics in different people.

I would absolutely wait for the right color! If it wasn't an option, then I would probably end up buying something else, especially if I didn't like the other colors it was offered in.

Nah, I really don't care. Most of the time I can't see what color it is when I'm using it.

Color isn't as important as material and design to me.

I agree, that's my main concern when shopping for toys. Now, if I have an option for a fun color then I do enjoy having fun colors especially if there's an option for green (my favorite color) but if it's out of stock and I really want the toy otherwise I'll just pick some other color.

I've been looking through my items and I see a common theme - pink, pink, and even more delicious shades of pink! I want an assorted variety of colors that I find appealing as a woman, yet I keep saying that and I keep purchasing pink toys. -bites lip-

When purchasing a adult sex toy I typically go for the color pink, however, if the toy is not offered in that favorite shade... I review the toy in depth and read the reviews once again, based on the reviews (especially intensity and volume) I will choose to go with another color if I feel the toy delivers what I want. I find this critical since it is going to stick out in my toy chest anyhow.

I have passed up various toys because of of the only color being awful color shade before, toys that I would have purchased granted the color was right. With Eden I am trying to break away and go with more fun colors.

YES! I do this all the time. I also wait for different scents for candles and massage oils and stuff, although on some things I've been waiting months with no sign of rescue. I can be quite stubborn about these things I figure why get it knowing it's already below your standards!
