Cosmetic case storage...

Contributor: Shellz31 Shellz31
I originally started out searching ebay for soft cosmetic cases for individual toys - to keep them all separate. But then I decided to have a look at some of the large hard cased ones.
Has anyone else thought about using these as toy storage cause they are often cheaper than some of the toy ones.
Naturally I have only looked on AU ebay so these are in AUD...

link - I'm planning on getting this one cause it locks and I like the little bottom draw.

There is so many around and was curious to see if anyone else has tried them and if they worked out well.

I use a Caboodles case for my hard toys - works just fine.

I store all my toys in a makeup case too. I used to do makeup professionally so I had this big case I didn't really use anymore. After I had a close call with someone almost finding my toys I moved them to my makeup case since it locks.

It works well for me, I don't have that much stuff yet. I'm hoping to fill it up one day

I have a locking makeup case similar to those, but my collection no longer fits in it so I have stuff stored in other places as well. Mine looks a lot like this but without the dividers inthe trays. The only problem I've had with it is that a lot of my toys were too thick to fit into the trays. I noticed that the tray and drawer on the one you're looking at are only 2.5 cm high, so you might have the same problem.

I use cosmetics cases for storage...I even use the small pouches as travel cases for my condoms.

As soon as I score an empty house for a few days (yay holiday!) I'll be building myself a custom toy trunk (goodbye old footlocker), and I already own a Tunti, but a cosmetics case would be perfect for my glass toys. I love the look of that first one!

I use small cosmetics bags from the fair trade store as separator bags, because they're lint-free and zip firmly closed. Also, I love supporting the local fair trade store. I'll stick to the bags here on EF for my glass, though, the multiple layers of fabric make for much better padding.

I need a case so bad for my toys. SO bad.

I was wondering because the one I want has the little tray up the top, does anyone know if it would be easy to remove that so I have more main space? I was planning to use the draw for batteries cause it's only every shallow and it doesn't lock.

I have started building my own toy trunk. It's not massive so in time I might have to upgrade but it will do me for awhile.
It's somewhat basic - tongue and groove pine with a couple of shelves ... or at least will when Im finished but Im not a carpenter at all so there are a couple of mistakes....hehehe.

But Im addicted to the look of the cosmetic cases - always have been .. even though I have never had make-up to put in them. I just want one for my main toys so they are easier to get to without going through the box.

I can't seem to find nice separator bags ... most on ebay are pencil cases and I doubt that are lint free. Plus I need some large ones too.

Awesome, I'm going to get myself a cosmetic case!
Thankyou everyone.

I ended up going for this - link - instead cause it's got more space.

Still really like the other one too but mainly for the locking system...hehehe.
