I have this for an assignment and after I read the blurb on their website--it made me decide to take a week and get over the ick factor of that comment.

Yep, it's a strange comment for sure. I get what they're saying, but I don't know anyone offhand who would feel comfortable passing a sex toy/kegel exerciser to their daughter.

I can understand the weird factor, but I honestly don't see any issue with it. The material can be fully sanitized or even sterilized, if my son or daughter showed an interest I would have not problem passing it on.

Uh, that comment is just to illustrate the fact that this toy will last a long time and can be sterilized. I don't think it was meant literally.

Besides which, how is it a bad thing to pass on ideals of sexual health to your children?

I understand why the comment was made, but still...I doubt I would accept a "family heirloom sex toy," even if it can be fully sterilized and can last a lifetime with proper care. I'd rather just recommend the same thing to my future children than actually pass it down.

In my opinion, for me, ideals of sexual health is one thing but sharing sex toys with your child is another. If anything, getting them own is better, in my opinion.

Haha! Yeah, I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to imagine my dear, sweet mum on her death bed presenting a sex toy to me and regaling me with stories of how many generations the women of my family have been using it to get off. I think that would be cool as hell on a family member's part. As long as it wasn't a creepy uncle passing it down to his niece with a wink, wink and a nudge to go along with it.

But, like grandma passing it down to her eldest granddaughter on her wedding day? Two thumbs up in my book!
