Storage Options

Has anyone tried using one of those locking make-up "train" cases for toy storage? Looking at the picks of the Devine Chest(which i'm in lust with) I can't help but notice certain similarities to the contraption I keep all my make up in(and yes I own a ridiculous amount of eyeshadow). What non-specifically manufacture items aside from the old sock draw have you come up with for stashing your goods?

I really like the Glis boxes from Ikea for keeping things all in one place, visible, but separate. They're inexpensive, and they stack.

But my 100% silicone dildos go in Really Useful Boxes(awful website, awesome boxes), which also stack and clip shut to keep lint out.

Metal dildos go in pre-bought or hand-made cloth sacks to keep them from getting scratched.

Bigger BDSM-type toys live either in the nightstand or next to the bed, depending on just how big they are.

I'm still trying to figure out how to store my rabbit vibes.

I just bought two small train cases, metal, really super, from walgreens. Caboodles brand, for make up. I'm using them for bullets and lube, etc.

Oooo, IKEA! I never even thought of them. I'll have to make a note to pick some up from there the next time I go.

Jealous jealous jealous. The US has all the best fun with sales. I need to go hunting in some crafty stores to find myself some good storage because as much as I love the look of all the storage options on EF they're more expensive than I can handle right now for just a box!

I was thinking about this the other day. I Really like the idea of the pop up trays. The Devine case looks amazing but who wants to spend that for just a box.

Hehe. I'm thrifty but splurgy, too. I bought the ten dollar boxes... but I also bought two Devine Playchests.

I'm conflicted? heh

This is why I'm kind of hesitant to pay such high prices for the storage cases on the site. Those huge caboodles things are sturdy and cute!

The Devine Playchest is pricey, but it's high quality and a nice size. I was iffy about buying it given the price tag, but I'm really happy I did

Actually, if you shop around for train cases of its size, it's fairly comparable. Luggage is not cheap these days and that's basically what it is.

I found myself actually looking at ammo boxes at my local flea market last weekend and wondering what would fit. I think I need to get a toy box, too.

Haha I've actually done this before too. My boyfriend tends to frequent sporting good stores, and apparently ammo boxes makes me think sex toys?

Of course it does... Bullets and box = Sex toy storage.

I use an 8-section bamboo tea box with the dividers removed. When I just had a couple toys I could use just one or two of the dividers in place and keep each toy separate along with special spaces for lube, batteries and condoms. The box doesn't lock or anything, but no one's stumbled into it yet, and it's actually quite pretty to look at. I really want to get another one, but I can't find another one around here (I got mine at Tuesday Morning).
