Depending on the Magnum variety, some are larger than others. Pay attention to the packaging and it should give away if it is simply large (for larger than average guys) or XL (for the much much larger than average). The Ecstasy variety fits differently which may account for it feeling larger and not as snug as many are used to.

It seems that every brand manufacturer - as well as the different types within brands -- have differing fits, so unfortunately experience seems to be the best guide.
