Okay, so when I did my Mangosteen Body Polish Review I had to contact sales reps over at System JO/Dona by JO to get a lot of detailed information. Long story short, for whatever reason, they wanted to send me free products (I assumed sample sizes) to try out. So they arrived today and I am just happy I wanted to show the collection I have now (plus I want to get more from EF). I will be reviewing these in time, but I want to really give them some extended usage! Here is the picture
Included:
Mangosteen Body Butter
Camu Camu Bath Salt
Camu Camu Linen Spray
Camu Camu Body Lotion
Blue Lotus Bath Foam
Goji Berry Bath Milk
Acai Body Wash
Pomegranate Herbal Bath Essence
Mangosteen Body Polish
I really hope Eden will carry the body butter, I've already used it and it is simple the best moisturizer I have used. In terms of moisturizing that is.
Meant to say this - I'm going to be putting in a support ticket to request the body butter. I think if enough of us did this - they might carry it - especially if we asked for it in 2-3 scents.
hahaaa... I was thinking, "Wow, I had no idea Cookie Monster Mike was a doula."
HAHA! I'm a Doula (as well as a Lactation Consultant) and I keep looking at my tub of DONA bath salts and giggling. (We're probably about the 2% of people who get this.)
Well mine hasn't shown up yet. I'm pretty excited though because unless they've run out of something - I will be getting:
Body butter (acai)
Body butter (pomegranate)
Body butter (camu camu)
Bath milk (goji berry)
Chromotherapy (blue lotus)
Massage oil (acai)
Kissable body drizzle (pomegranate martini)
Herbal bath essence (goji berry)
I can hardly wait to get them. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday.
P'Gell did you get yours directly from DONA?
What Mike is talking about is that he contacted them when he was writing his review to get some detailed information. Since I was helping him (not that he needed it) - I also contacted them for information and since Eden wasn't carrying the body butter, I asked where I could get it because its one of my favorite bath and body products. I wanted to order it from someplace where I won't get indiscreet catalogs, etc.
She offered to send me some samples - and part of me feels guilty and part of me goes, "Hey wait - I'm doing 5 reviews and have bought like 12 products or something...".

Ohhhhh, no, I got mine through Eden to do a DR on.
I realized after I posted that Mike got his through DONA.
Just had to show my collection - this is all DONA stuff I've bought off Eden...

I've been wondering about these. Reviews are so helpful since it can be difficult buying something and not knowing what it will actually end up smelling like.

Well - my stuff arrived today and I'm pleased with almost all of it. We're going to start using it and start reviews for when Eden gets the product in.
Mike - I see what you mean about the body butter from when we talked. To me, it is more of a body souffle but not even quite like that. I need to play with it a bit more.
The blue lotus chromotherapy made both my daughter and I almost want to gag - very strong - maybe it will be better in water - who knows.
You didn't tell us the bath milk would go all over the place and that we'd be covered with a fine powder mist when we opened it.
The kissable body drizzle is...super duper sweet. Can I just put it in a glass over some ice and drink it?
I think I'm in love more with the pomegranate than the mangosteen...need to play with it a bit more.

Yay glad to hear your stuff finally arrived. I wouldn't mind smelling the pomegranate in more of the products, it's really good in the bath salts.
Yea the body butter is super rich!
Super duper sweet body drizzle huh? Hmmm not sure if I would get into that one, do you normally eat/drink a lot of sweet things and still find the drizzle sweet? Or do you normally not have a lot of sweet things?
Sorry about the powder going over you! I never had that happen at all. I let it sit for a minute before opening it and definitely did not shake it lol.
Hope the chromotherapy is more enjoyable in the tub! I want to try that stuff out
I thought I'd take some photos and share with y'all for some of the products Eden doesn't have (yet).
Here is the body butter:
To me - this is more of a souffle than a butter and I hope to discuss that when Eden eventually starts carrying it. I'm not even sure I'd call it a souffle but it's definitely close to a souffle.
Now for the body drizzle. I figured that since I HAD to do another quality control taste check (in case the first four times didn't work) - I'd take some photos.
Here it is on my finger:
Here it is about 10 seconds after I held my finger up to let it drizzle.
I had to do the taste check after that - but here is the bottle it came in.
You know - I know there was no chemical aftertaste any of the first five times I tried it...but I really think I ought to go check it out once again..or twice again.
I wonder how it would taste drizzled over ice cream? (It beats the Kama Sutra kissable body butters/souffle for taste).

Question: Is the Chromotherapy supposed to do anything other than color the water? Does it have skin benefits as well?
I don't mind the Goji Berry scent! I expected it to be horrid from everyone talking about it, but I didn't find it terrible. It's not my favorite, but it's not bad either.
I like Camu Camu! It's not too coconut-y for me. I sprayed the linen spray on our couch yesterday because we are babysitting a dog and the couch was stinky. Hubby came home and said it smelled like I cleaned the house. Win!

Lol win! I hope that Bath milk is something you can still use. Do you get severe or minor reactions from even the smallest amount of sulfur? I'm thinking that the bath milk should be fine because everyday you go outside your exposed to multiple types of sulfur compounds all day.
So far the only products I have run into that I either didn't like or have a problem with is the body wash and massage candle.
The body wash bottle when first unlocked and opened leaks at the shaft. Then after use, it leaks and continuously drips from the dispenser. I have already reported this to System JO that there have been at least 4 reports of bottles doing this.
The massage candle however, while it smells great takes a VERY long time to get a nice pool of oil for massaging. I think 45 minutes of burning and there was only a medium sized pool? I tried some and rubbed it into my skin, it felt thick and waxy when it cooled, absorbed fast but my skin had a drag to it.
Those 2 seem to be the ones I have had the problems with. But the rest so far....AWESOME!
I'm not digging the candle at all that much - it's too strong for me (so far - but I've only tried it once and could've been on scent overload from opening everything).
I like, the body wash in spite of the slight soapy smell to it. None of my bottles have leaked - sorry to hear about yours.
I'm not digging the Camu Camu body butter - I haven't yet put it on me but from smelling it in the jar it smells waxy. With that said - I like the other two body butters - especially the pomegranate.
My daughter tried the herbal bath essence foam stuff yesterday...need to probably try it some more. She said it was like burning incense in the bathroom - gave the scent, etc. but not really any great softening properties and it didn't make much for bubbles, etc. The scent wasn't bad - she felt like it was more of a musky/woody scent like sandalwood or something (I have to go look up my notes) and she could smell it for about 20 minutes while she was in the tub. I could smell it as I walked towards the bathroom.
As far as aphrodisiacs, I'm not noticing anything - but when I'm wearing any of this and walk into the rabbitry - my male rabbits all try to get my attention and some of them (my best breeders) try to hump me. So I guess if you're wanting to attract rabbits - this works.

I have severe reactions to sulfur, but generally only if ingested. I've been able to use external products with it in it before okay. I try to avoid them just to be safe because of how bad my reaction to it is if I ingest it.
I did use the bath milk and didn't have any reaction. Mine didn't clump at all without having to sift it. It smelled really great but I didn't really notice that it did anything for my skin.
It's funny you guys both dislike the candle. I tried it last night and liked it. LOL I don't have any massage candle to compare to, but I think you have to burn them all about 45 minutes beforehand?
I got the Mangosteen candle and it smells awesome. It is very strong smelling, but it is so fruity, but mostly citrusy that it smells amazing and awakening!
I also ordered the Blue Lotus Lingerie wash. It smells like floral and slight spice. I do like it, but not as much as the mangosteen.

Well, I have previously used the Kama Sutra massage candles, 2 of them actually, the Mediterranean Almond and Island Passion. Generally those would only take 20minutes tops to form a nice larger pool of oil. Those seem more like a thinner based oil vs the Dona. The Dona seemed to cool faster and spread thicker/harder if I described it right.
I love it as a candle, just not digging it for massaging. I may/may not review it, not sure yet hehe.
But I have found a way to make these last longer (massage candles in general). I scoop the wax out and put it in a candle lit oil warmer, the one with the stone dish/bowl on top that heats oil up to freshen up a room. The oil get's hot, but the aroma and oil lasts longer this way

Yay glad you like the mangosteen candle. It does seem strong but the scent profile is slightly different compared to the body butter or body polish in mangosteen. To me it seems like more of the fruit aromas come out in the candle vs the coffee or spice notes.
