It depends on what you are looking to achieve. If it is needed to sustain an erection, look to silicone, leather and some of the firmer TPR materials. Steel is also an option, but I do not recommend it if you do not have some experience with C-ring's. Sizing if VERY important with steel. Remember that C-rings should not be worn for more than 20-30 min.

Now if you are just looking for some clit stimulation and some increase in size, the softer materials will work fine. Some of them will sustain an erection and prolong ejaculation, which is a plus.
