Liberator: Wedge/Ramp, Flip Ramp, or Hipster?

Contributor: cherryredhead88 cherryredhead88 06/07/2011

I am so very torn between all three of these now. The hipster looks wider than the flip ramp, but I am not sure about the curves. The wedge ramp looks more versatile but not as comfy and it's more expensive.

I have thick hips and back problems, but my main concern is which one to choose for different positions. HELP! I'm ordering soon since they are giving 25% off (just in time too, I have been saving up for this for a while).

Which one? I'm really leaning towards the hipster right now.

I think the Hipster may have an unknown advantage to you. Since you are curvy and have back problems the Hipster will help you hold your legs up, apart, etc, without strain. In fact, when you lay back in the hipster the larger curve will give you lumbar support while the small curve will hold your legs up for you. Any way you move it, you will have curved support.
Even I have problems holding my legs up, but in the hipster it just happens with out any work. It's magic.

I know the money is more for the wedge ramp combo but I stick by my purchase. It is wonderful. I am a full figured girl and I even used it while I was pregnant (add 20 lbs) and it was still comfortable. Not only is it comfortable for on the bare wooden floors but you can use the little wedge on the sofa which is one of my favorites. You back it up to the arm of the chair and lay back with your legs off the arm. Puts your butt high in the air and really helps to keep my legs way up and as close as I am ever going to get to legs behind the head action. Now not always the most comfortable for the long sessions but nice for the ending. I have also used the wedge on the table for my arms, neck and boob support. So if I am being to explicit. I really want to give you the best descriptions I can. On to the wedge. It is great to help your back when on a flat surface. It is super soft but without much give which is nice. 100 times better than the million pillows we used to use. Now onto the other two you have listed. I would pick the Hipster over the Flip Ramp just due to the rounded curve. I would just worry about my butt getting pushed over the curve and falling more down which would make holding legs up a little higher. But now doggie on this one would seem better because of the rounded curve to lay your belly on. Hope that helps. Please read my review on the wedge ramp combo and if you have any questions just ask. I will try to answer to the best of my ability. And I can not wait to read your review on either of the three you choose.

The possibilities are endless with the combo! You will not be disappointed, you can use it in so many ways, different positions, and separately too. You can read my review (Medical Insurance Should Totally Pay For These!)and how it helps us with our pain issues.

I have the hipster but I don't have back problems or big hips. I think the combo will be best as it will allow more versatility.

as a chiropractor i would imagine there is no one right choice for everyone. If your a fuller person and need more vertical displacement; go with the thicker product. We have the combo and love the versatility it provides, in addition we have a choice of different heights that can work with front or rear entry. I do recall the liberator website having some specifications for different size people. I think you will be pleased with any of their products, they're all high quality. As a side note; maybe foreplay for you guys should include some sensual yoga moves and some light rubbing. Im sure you can find some online. Just my 2 cents.

I'm with the majority on this one. The Ramp gets your hips up and the Wedge makes the experience more comfortable. The sharp edge of the Ramp allows your partner full access - without you or he having to reach across the curve of the Hipster.

I also think that the Wedge supporting your head will help keep your back well supported.

They are all really cool - but storage can be an issue - so you can't buy them all! Good luck with your selection and be sure to let us know how it works out for you.

I haven't used either the hipster or the flip ramp, but I do own the ramp and wedge combo. I love them. They are very comfortable and you can use them either together or separately. There are tons of positions variations available with the combo set because you can separate them or use them together. You can also experiment with different placement of the pillows to find which works best for you.

Plus you can also use them for other purposes. My ramp occasionally finds its way onto the bed while I'm watching tv it's nice to use instead of a pile of pillows.

We don't have the Wedge Ramp combo, but we do have the Flip Ramp and two Wedges, and we've played with a Ramp but not shagged on it (a friend had one on their pit group). It's not always comfortable for me to lean over the straight edge of the Wedge, but all good on the Flip Ramp, which is why I suggested that one over the Wedge Ramp. Alan put in his two cents when we were discussing it and reminded me that the contoured form of Flip Ramp suits him better than the straight one on the Ramp did. It's pretty nice to store as a footstool/seat too. But, if you want it mainly for missionary sex, then you probably would do better with the Wedge Ramp combo.

I have the combo and love them! I don't get to use them as often as we use to because they are big, but when we do use them it definitely helps. I'm also a big hips girl and have back problems, and it really does help to put you in some great positions. I have never tried the others, so I'm not help with those.

I only have the wedge/ ramp combo, and it was my first Liberator purchase. My wife and I still really love those shapes. I am not too interested in the flip ramp, and only slightly interested in the hipster. Good luck with your decision.

We have both the Ramp/wedge combo and the Hipster. Both are nice... but we greatly prefer the combo. It is so much more functional.

I have only tried the wedge ramp combo. I guess your decision should depend on what positions you would like to use most often, and which would make it most comfortable for you in those. A liberator position video came with my combo, but they didnt cover the hipster and the flip ramp- I think the video was made before they were released. There were heaps of position demonstrated for the wedge and ramp on the video. For the others I looked on the Liberator web to see if there were any additional things that they could do that the combo couldn't. Hipster looks interesting for "sit on my face" oral sex and looks ergonomic for the breasts. The flip ramp looks like it would be a great space saver and less conspicuous.

The general impression I get however is that the wedge ramp combo has more versatility and variation in positioning than the other two and is fun for experimentation. I've talked about positions I found interesting in my review and my experiences with them.

I've only used the wedge/ramp, but I'd really like to try out the others at some point!

I voted for the wedge/ramp because I think they're more versatile. Given the number of ways you can use either one by itself or both together, it's an excellent investment.

I feel like the flip-ramp is just so versatile for the money.
