Hi! I need some advice. My new gf has recently expressed interest in bringing some toys into the bedroom, but she is very shy and this is definitely not her thing, so it is up to me to find her something that she will enjoy and I will enjoy using on her. I was thinking about a vibe, but not sure about measurements, styles etc.
Buying my wife her first vibrator

Well, if you don't know what size and style your girl friend is comfortable with, you may just want to play it safe. For your first time, just explore a little, see what stimulation she prefers, see what feels good for you both, and then decide together what kind of toys you want to incorporate.

For nearly all women, the clitoral orgasm is going to be easier and more frequent. So I'd advice you to buy a clit vibrator for your girl-friend or a vibrating cock-ring(that will stimulate her clit) for you to wear.

Hi Steve! You might do well with a vibrator/g-spot stimulator toy. A couple suggestions from our site - the Butterfly Kiss or Classix Waterproof G. Those toys are made of jelly material and should be covered with a condom for use (for health and cleaning), but are a good, low-cost way to figure out if she likes that kind of stimulation from toys. If so, we have a number of great silicone toys to invest in (check out Gigi).

I have to agree about the dual type vibrators with a clitoral attachment. There are so many on the market. Some seem to be designed for small to large anatomy. I would read the reviews on the products and pick one with a high rating.

Start off with the basics. Definitely get a bullet (to me they're incredibly nonthreatening to those using toys for the first time) and bring in a traditional vibrator. If you're looking for materials, silicone is fantastic not only because it can be sterilized and is phthalates free, but because it's just a great feeling material. As far as circumference goes, 4 1/2" (to me) seems to be the perfect girth.
I don't know what your price range is but if there's one toy I can recommend to a first timer it would be the Chandra link To me it doesn't really scream "sex toy", it has muted colors and isn't shaped like an animal or fake tongue or mouth. The packaging and all included materials have a softer feel and approach than some very crass packaged toys I've seen. It can be worn on either your finger or hers so if she's not comfortable using it just yet, you can be the one to use it first.

I'd go with a bullet or egg. Not the cheapest of the cheap, though, because those look really tacky and not sexy at all.

I would say get some sort of a "pocket rocket" clit toy, maybe one in a cute color. I know they have some on here. They're not scary looking at all and they're really fun. A pocket rocket was my first vibrator.

I was in the same shoes as you but I didn't even know if she wants one or not it was a surprise She is not my wife tho but long term gf I'm about to post a rev about Lelo Mona, check it out when it's out.

I'll have to stick with everyone else and say a bullet first. That's what I tried when I finally started getting into toys, and I couldn't be happier now! I would suggest looking into Doc Johnson bullets first, since theirs are typically low-priced.
Or, maybe the Hearts On? I bought that recently, and it's not intimidating at all.

I really love the Harmonia for a traditional vibe and the Thumper is my current favorite rabbit. I think both would be good choices for a beginner.
