I was just curious how many of you here would buy (or have bought) a vibrator or other sex toy for a friend? I know I've had friends who have done it in the past and they've been well received.

Depends on the friend. I've never gone out of my way to buy anyone anything, but I have given a friend some free things I've gotten, like that mystery gift rabbit.

I've given the free gifts I got to some friends. I bought a vibrating ring and some flavored lube for one of my close friends. We've gone in stores together before too, a group of us on a girls night.

I bought the blue Kaya vibrator for my friend (and former roommate) for Christmas. It was during an editor rotation, so I had more points than I usually do. I felt fairly comfortable giving it because it wasn't a surprise. Maybe if it had been a surprise it might've been awkward.

I have recommended vibrators to friends and they've bought them themselves. I would definitely give it as a gift but most of my friends are uncomfortable about toys or talking about masturbation so I don't. I've been to adult stores with my friends but I'm the only one who walks out with a purchase lmao.

Out of all my friends, I am really the only sex toy user on a regular basis. My partner obviously uses them as well. I have bought several sex toys for several of my friends and while they have liked them, they just haven't incorporated them into their daily life/ sex life.

I haven't really bought any for friends but I have given out the free gifts I didn't want or that I had multiples of. I have also passed on several of my toys that could be sterilized.

I have a friend who mentioned to me that she was on the lookout for a high quality vibrator. An upgrade, if you will. In those cases, I would be fine buying one as a gift. However, for any friend that hasn't opened up to me in that way, absolutely not.

Yes, I bought a high end rabbit vibe for my best friend, she was going through a divorce. Her ex found it after only two uses, he pitched it. I filed a claim against him in small claim court for "one purple vibrator", after all the snickers in the court room the judge ordered him to pay for it! Hey this one was expensive, and justice is justice. Never come between a girl and her vibrator. Lesson learned for him.
