Since the toy is rated waterproof I'd say it's entirely possible that nothing bad will happen if you wash the toy under running water. To be extra sure try reading some of the reviews...often reviewers will give cleaning advice as part of their reviews.

Yes you can. I put the entire toy under running water and it works fine.
