Anything that can't be sterilized, if you plan to share, you should use a condom. A good way to know is to look at the product page, find the material it is made of, click on it, and then check the "safety scale" rating as well as the additional info listed on that page.

Materials that are porous have little holes that can catch bacteria. So anything 'porous' should be used with a condom for extra safety. The material pages will tell you if it is or not. Also, if you are going to share any toy, even non-porous ones, use a condom. Hope this helps!
