It really depends on the specific cock ring. Some work really well, some don't really do anything, and each one works differently for each couple. I'd read reviews to see which ones work better in general and go from there. I've had a few cock rings that people raved about, but when I tried them I couldn't have cared less for them.

I have been thinking of purchasing a cock ring as well. But this seems nice as well. Might have to try both and will compare.
