Does the name of a vibrator influence whether you buy it or not?

Contributor: vanilla&chocolate vanilla&chocolate
I know that I focus more on vrooms than anything else, but how about the rest of us? Does the name of a vibrator (or other toy) sway you in either direction?

Kind of funny, but the look, name and color all effect it!!

If the name was THE PARIS HILTON VIBRATOR, or something like that I WOULD not buy it, so I guess it could, depending on what it was, but generally, no.

It's usually what gets my attention so in that sense it's already had it's influence but in terms of ultimately purchasing it as a result of the name I wouldn't say so.

not really, half the time I don't even notice the name!

Not really...as long as it looks functional and something I'd like with good review I don't really care about the name

Not really, but it doesn't hurt either.

No, never care about what the name is.

If it had an awesome name that made me giggle a ton, I might be more likely to get it.

I said no, because although vibrators being named after people makes me feel a little weird, it wouldn't stop me from buying it if it looked like I'd enjoy it.

Going by the name is is just judging a book by its cover really. I look at the vroom too but my decision is ALWAYS swayed by the reviews done on a product.

Not even 1 little bit. I do not care what a toy's name is.

No, I don't think so... I'll have to ponder on this. Hmmm...

Generally speaking, no. But if it's a line that I've tried one of, and know I don't like? I won't get another. Purely for the means of an example, say I didn't like the Minivibes line by Fun Factory. The entire line has "minivibes" in the name, so, I'll judge it based on that. But otherwise, no.

Hmmm, I've never thought about that. While I've never consciously decided to purchase or not purchase a product due to its name, I'm sure that it does affect my perception of the product to some degree. I mean, what sounds sexier? A generic color+type of product, or something that's descriptive?

Not really, no. I tend to rename my vibrators for conversational purposes when in public. So if I really hated the name of something but still found great reviews and thought it would work for us, I'd buy it and just give it a new name.

But I do agree with Annemarie. If I find one vibe within a line that I don't like, I am guilty of judging the rest of the line. Unless of course I find a stellar review that I can relate to, I might reconsider.

No, I don't care what the name of the toy is. Most of them make me laugh! I usually refer to them by color.

I think that subconsciously it does. I would be more inclined to buy something named "Isis," "Gigi," "Harmonia," or even "Flower power" than something named "Nikki Sexxx's Double Giant Penis Probe."

they would have to mess up real bad for me to avoid a product based on the name. Like the "Galgamex teeth Pocket Pussy" I would probably avoid... or instantly buy.

Not really, but I think if it was a crazy, crazy name I couldn't. Like... "JizzerWow!" It could be awesome, but I couldn't do it.

No, name isn't important to me. Strength and quality is what I look at as well as texture and circumference.

No, the name doesn't mean anything to me whatsoever. I barely even think about it. I only worry about vrooms and size.

I've never thought about the names of the toys it's not like I call my toy by name.

A little on a very silly level. All the toys I like have nice names, anyways. And I get deterred by a toy on the cheaper side if it's name is doing all the foot-work. A name should stand on it's own and that is that.
