Ever feel like your toy has a personality?

Contributor: Sera Sera
Do you post a personality to your different toys according to their functions and maintenance? I'm wondering who out there has a preference for their favorite "toy personality" if you know what I mean!

I've never thought about that, and honestly, do not mind either way. Sometimes I wonder if my PENIS has a mind of its own (which, I have confirmed, is true), but that's not what you mean, right?

Hehe, Sir. My partner's does too.

Reminds me of a corny joke:

Q: Why do penises have holes?

A: So men can be open-minded!

I've thought of this a couple times. Like if their motor is quiet, they would be quiet, but if they're brightly colored they're creative/spunky.

Although for realistic dildos, I never think they have a personality.

I have to say, I've never thought this before. And now that I'm thinking about it, I have to say, no, they don't. They aren't living, they have no brain. So, no, there's no personality.

I kind of agree. I guess in a silly way, I could give them personalities.

Never thought of it. I wouldn't say personality, but each toy has it's own job and function. To say they have personality, i don't know, just seems weird to me....

Thanks! That's a corny joke that I've actually retold after hearing it. I think it's funny, too

No, the personality comes from the driver of said toy.

My toys pile together and stare at me collectively, if that's what you mean. I'm ignoring them right now because I'm too broke to buy new batteries and I'm having sex on Friday.

Haha, a mind of its own. Well, it could mean that. I did ask a very vague-ish question.

I suppose not, but then again, I see it as however the perspective of the user sees the personality in them.

Glad I haven't as it seems to be an eerie though for me. I remember seeing a youtube video about this though think it was a college humor one.

Like creepy staring or accusing staring? LOL I have heard mine whispering in their drawer, plotting, late at night after I decided I was just too damn tired...

I know what you mean Charlotte sometimes I will anthropomorphize my toys based on thier unique sounds and purposes. For instance I have several female toys that are phallically shaped...and ya I know I'm weird.

Yes, penises definitely seem to have a mind of their own, but, as my husband and I always say, they also seem to have only one brain cell dedicated solely to one purpose or motive in life. When they are not pursuing that purpose, they simply laze around in a hammock, so to speak, all day!

As far as toys go, to be funny, I will sometimes manipulate them to seem as though they are attempting to coax my husband into play, but I can't say that I ever think of them as having personalities on their own.

I try to create a little personality for them, based on their functions, when I write reviews, because it helps me squeeze in a little humor, but they don't have personalities like computers have personalities.

Well, I know my car has a personality. And my bathroom cd player. So the toy would make sense.

Never thought about it. Sometimes I wonder if my husband switches out the batteries with dead ones when he's mad at me, but that wouldn't be the toy's fault.
