My wife has just recently started using vibes, and yes the selection is very overwhelming. So I would suggest looking together. If that is not possible or you want to surprise her then go for something small in size (length, diameter) and something with adjustable vibes. My wife has found that she likes them strait and soft, but every woman is different so you may go through two or three before she finds something she likes.

yeah she is involved but like i said this is her first vibe so she isnt even sure what to look for

The velvet Touch vibrator was really great for me. It comes in a few colors. It's a simple traditional vibe with steady vibrations that you control with a dial so she can put them really low or high. It's fairly cheap and it'll open the doorway to trying other things.

I also love my Desire by evolved. I love all their traditional vibes made of plastic.

The best suggestion I can make is to stay away from porous materials like TPR or rubber since they can imbalance the vaginal health since bacteria can stay in the material.

The Jenna's Jewels Royale is super cute and I'd mimic Sammi's recommendation. After looking through the traditional vibes, I also found Lucid Dream Petites no. 36 because it's oh so pretty and a lot less intimidating than most vibes out there because of how pretty it is. You can also check out Lanny's Vivid Dreams which is also super pretty and a little textured for a little more "oomph." You probably want to go for something that has a little something extra to it, she's going to have to keep herself busy with it for a little while.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Decadent Indulgence link there are several to choose from - we recommend the ones with 4 AA batteries. There are many great simple clit vibes - but the DI line will give your 'better half' a lot to more options to explore while your gone!

Get a good quality one that recharges. Those have been great for my wife. We were in the same situation a couple of years ago, and thats how she made it through.
