I don't totally buy into the whole "good for beginners" thing--at least, not in terms of toy strength, since I needed MORE stimulation to orgasm when I was a "beginner" than I do now--but this seems like a solid choice. She can use it to experiment with both clitoral or G-spot stimulation, it's not obviously phallic, and it's inexpensive, so if she doesn't like it, you haven't thrown away a lot of money.

It might be good for her, my first one was an egg vibe, and it didn't really do it for me on its own, if its a pretty strong one, or if it has multiple settings, it probably won't disappoint or be scary
