I know, that's why I haven't placed my bet on the Hitachi yet... But my the "reliable brand" is just always so appealing...

I don't have either one, but have heard the hitachi is very powerful. I have the Vibratex Mystic Wand and really like it,but everyone's power tolerance is different.

From what I gather, the Fairy is stronger but people find the Hitachi to have deeper vibrations.
I love my Pocket Fairy and am looking forward to the full-size version.

I've only tried the Hitachi. I've been using the same one for over 10 years and don't have a need for anything different. Still works great!

I can't say which one is stronger, but I think having the dial to control vibrations instead of just two levels would tip the balance in favor of Fairy for me. (Except I can't buy plug-in items from a US site, because our line voltage is different in the UK. )

They're powerful in different ways, from what I've gathered. The hitachi is rumbly and deep, and the fairy is buzzy but super strong. Depends on what you like.
