How do you prefer your toys to be powered?

I have yet to purchase a rechargeable toy but I think that would be most convenient.

haven't got a rechargeable, but I can see how awesome that would be, and convenient, and cheaper

the bad side of rechargeable toys is they will not last too much, once the inside battery is dead you have to buy another one again

Plug-in toys or the power of love! They stay strong through it all, ha ha.

Rechargeables are OK, but they still do have a finite lifetime. Plug-in toys never run down, and body powered ones last a long time as well.

I love rechargables. Most of my rechargable toys have lasted over a year of daily (and sometimes more than once per day!) use. Love. Love. Love.

i prefer the ones that have a detachable cord that you plug into the wall and plug into the toy...makes things sooo much easier..they need to make more toys like that.

Isn't there a song called Power of Love? I'm getting African-inspired riffs running through my head...

I grew up listening to one contrasting a guy who drives a beat-up '69 Dart with a guy who drives a brand new Mercedes Benz who goes home to his empty house / sits by his empty swimming pool. And the Dart has no power windows, no power brakes, no power nuthin' but he's got what it takes, because he gets to drive with his wife / he's got the Power of Love.

And there we have Antipova's nostalgia trip of the day. :S

Ever since I invested in a AA(A) charger I'm a happy girl. I still use the set that came with the charger together with some store brands. My mp3 player is powered in the same fashion. I get the best of both options: I can switch whenever they die on me mid-play and I don't have to buy new ones regularly. I had a phone that had in-built AAA charger for its needs. Very useful since I sometimes forget to charge the spares. I just have to stay away from N or C-battery weirdos. Even when they look cute.

I'm dying to try out a rechargeable toy. I'm so sick of dealing with batteries!

I've never had a rechargeable, but if I did have one, it would be my favorite.

I don't mind batteries, but I refuse to buy toys that take watch batteries.
