I ordered the vela with the last shipment (still not here yet) but I love the look of the ceres too, and I am temted to get one. If you had thevela, would you want the ceres original?

I have both, so maybe I can be of some help.

I'd hold off on getting a Ceres for a while. Jopen made a bit of an oopsie with the battery cages which makes removing batteries a HUUUGE pain in the butt. Jopen is fixing this problem and all the new Ceres toys will be free of this issue, but we don't know exactly when these newer toys will be available.

I don't have the Vela because of the texture, but I do have the Ceres G and Original. I don't have issues with the battery compartments on mine, but I would recommend waiting until the issues are fixed before buying one.
