I'd like a toy storage nightstand with drawers. The largest drawer would have vertical dividers like this wine crate, but toy size, that holds dildos and long vibrators. There'd be some adjustable sections to allow for larger or smaller toys and bulk size bottles of lube, and a tray that fits over the top (with dividers) for small clit vibes, batteries, and tiny lube bottles and tubes. There'd be another drawer for non toy things that you like to have by the bed, and a third drawer that's a charging station, with a plug bar built in, and the cord for the plug bar going discreetly out the back. Each drawer would lock separately.
The whole thing would be made of solid wood and be a sturdy piece of furniture that will last a lifetime, and comes in different finishes so it will match your decor.

OH JESUS, I FORGOT THE ADJUSTABLE PARTS AND THE QUIETNESS!!!
OF COURSE IT WOULD HAVE THOSE TOO, WHAT WOULD THE WORLD BE WITHOUT THEM!!!!!!

My oh my, I am SO EXTREMELY GLAD that you have brought the wooden storage topic up, I have started to make a GIANT chest too, the sides are already done and the body of it is screwed and nailed together too - I have started the cover too, but I am using very thin wood, so I had to give up on screwing and go for nailing, Master helps me out immensely with His Advices and some little tricks He does better, and it's raining as hell here for a long while already and I started to get busy on EF and writing for EdenCafe and reviews so I haven't continued for a few weeks...
So far my chest is made to hold two longest sort of toys (about 12 inches, so the length is more than 24 inches long, about 28 as I remember), and the width is only as thick as I can fit it right next to O/our B/bed (W/we live in a wonderful luxurious remodeled RV, my PreciousMaster modified it all and it is mindblowing), and the space on the sides of the huge bed is very skinny...
It will be able to hold 4 levels of toys, the average 1 1/2 inches diameter toys, so I left a lil more space for the layers in my plan...
Practically I am using very thin wood and the layers will be made of very hard paper (ya know, like the post package boxes), and buffed with some very thin stripes of wood on the sides on the bottom glued to them for support, then the whole layer thing painted, all of them, so the paper part wouldn't mean it's weak...
As I couldn't figure out how I could make the handling of the levels more comfortable I decided to solve the problem of lifting them out easy with a thin "column" of wood fixed to the center of each layer...
So you can grab them and lift them out by that handle...
I planned to use it to hold the other layers, but maybe I will add some tiny stripes of wood or something to hold them on the sides too...
The cover will be joint with hinges to open up fine, and a lock to the front in the middle, not to lock though cause W/we live alone, so no one would be nosing around...
But W/we could lock it too... ^^
Master says I should just wait until W/we get some thicker wood for the cover because I broke the very thin parts, but I am extremely eager to finish it by my plan, so W/we got some strong glue to manage it, and I will use probably liquid silicone stuff to fill up the holes I broke, or something similar... Maybe it will still hold ok...
To each side a handle will go to lift it, I will look for some unless W/we already have stuff for that...
The whole thing will be painted black inside and out, then I want to cover it with something transparent too to cover the paint nice, maybe I will paint some floral decoration on the chest before that layer as well with golden color, I'll see...
And you know...
I was always fascinated how my grandpa, my first love, and now my Master can build ANYTHING, I always wanted to be like that since I was a teenytiny lil kid, and THIS IS MY VERY FIRST WOODWORK PROJECT IN MY WHOOOOOOOOOOOOLE LIFE, AND IT IS UNBELIEVABLE THAT EVEN SUCH A TOTAL BEGINNER CAN MAKE AN ENTIRE CHEST BY HER VERYOWN PLANS AND MEASUREMENTS FROM SOME STUFF LAYING AROUND USELESSLY!!!
If your love is into woodwork too, or you know someone who is good at such things, you should definitely ask them to show you some stuff, let you try some sawing and sanding and screwing or nailing, if you like creating stuff you will be in LOVE with it, especially if you have seen and watched people doing such things before, then pretty much everything will be obvious and you will just have to get to it carefully and accurately, and you can build your dream toy storage!!!
I find the charger station a fantastic idea btw!
W/we have same stations here too, about three, one for Baby's PC, one for the bedroom, and one at the hot tub for lights and stuff too, I highly advice it because it is extremely convenient - though W/we use two old server stations for the bedroom and outside, so O/our S/stuff is groovy lookin oldschool juice station!
And I like the standing idea! Though I guess if you don't want to mess with separating the different sections you can just go for a layer with some "stick" in the center like my plan, as it separates toys somewhat, but your space isn't bound to having to put up with its limits, you just throw in whatever you please as you have all that space...
^^
I hope this has helped, and ask me anytime if I can help you in the measuring (in which one has to pay more attention for little details than I thought first, but it's manageable and totally ok), and the process and tricks, like how it is a good idea to screw, how to sand, and stuff like that, I would be more than happy to share ideas and experiences about such projects!!!
Hey folks, everyone, if you are into such things dare to post your stuff here, or I can open another thread just for storage projects and woodwork too!
Thank you for sharing the lovely idea btw! ~smiles soft and gratefully
