Is my Uma defective or is the product description wrong ?

Contributor: Chirple Chirple
My Uma only has 5 vibration levels. It even says "5" on the box.

I feel really bad, but I'm considering returning it (unrelated to my issues being able to use it, if that was just it I'd suck it up and keep at it). I hate to think it will be destroyed, though.

Je Joue's website says 7. I have not counted the speeds on mine so I don't know if it's five or seven for me.

I think it's still a great product, but it just kind of sealed the deal for my "not for me" feeling.

I guess if I did return it, it would be Je Joue taking the loss, not EF. I feel awful (I hate to return *any* kind of product), since I really like Je Joue and think they did a fantastic job, anyway.

And I hate to make a fuss over something that's so stupid and trivial, but it ended up being a dealbreaker for me. I hate feeling like such a spoiled brat.

I'm gonna have to go count mine. I'm pretty sure it was more than five but I can't be 100% certain without it in my hands.

I would feel the same way. The online description does say 7, so that's false if the box actually says 5... If you are really unhappy with it, you should return it and try not to feel so badly. Spending so much money on something that you'll never use because you're too afraid of speaking up is a bad feeling, too, from my experience. Good luck.

Hi there!

I am trying to clarify this with Je Joue and I'll have a solid answer by tomorrow morning.

Have a good night!

^Thank you.

I know *their* site says 7, so I don't know what's going on (on the end of the box, along with the "bodysafe" designation, it says "5 vibration levels"].

If they're all 5, I'm thinking of keeping it anyway. It IS a *really nice* toy, but I was a grump this morning and the discrepancy just made my annoyance skyrocket.

EDIT : It also says "7" in the manual that came with it, just to make note of it.

I don't know, maybe they planned on it being 7 and changed it ? It's weird, the outer box does say "5" on it and I made sure I was really pressing the button at level 5, but it just didn't do anything.

It's not that big a deal, really, but just confusing. :d

So what it looks like is that Uma has 7 patterns and 5 vibrations levels to each pattern.

I did find there were more patterns, and it was nice that you could adjust the levels.

It's weird, the manual says "There are 7 levels of vibration to choose from" on the third page.

And their website says, "7 versatile vibration levels, from a low subtle rumble to intense and powerful finish + 7 different pulsing vibrations."

I wonder if they were planning on this, but didn't end up implementing it ? And just forgot to change it ?

I've been thinking it over and I think I'm going to keep it, anyway. It was just kind of a bummer since it wasn't what I'd read on their website.

So then that would be 7x5=35 total combinations of pattern & level!

It's very nice, although I'm hoping the middle button "breaks in". I've never had a problem with the Je Joue buttons before, but it's super hard to push. D:

I would describe the Uma as a MiMi that can go inside you. I was hoping for something else, but I think I can live with this.
