I'm in my 3rd trimester and me and my husband would like to explore with different sex toys and was wondering if it would be safe

I would guess so.

Sometimes I've heard "myth" type things about sex sometimes inducing labor, though??

I've mostly heard you should go for it as long as you feel like it, but that oftentimes pregnant people start feeling like sex is uncomfortable in the third trimester/ managing around the belly becomes difficult

Usually yes, during normal (non-high risk) pregnancies, but you should still talk to your doctor first. Sorry to say that, but there are those disclaimers on the packages of most vibrators. I personally would do it myself, but can't say that's the right thing for every person. I say run it by your doctor first to be totally sure.

This. I did a quick google search and most of the answers say exactly what Kendra said.

Here are a few answers from one website I had found:

Cornelia Graves

If you're having a healthy pregnancy, it's safe to use a vibrator. But if you're at risk for preterm labor, it can be risky to have an orgasm, because an orgasm can stimulate contractions.

Gina Brown

It's generally safe – although if the material (such as plastic) that the vibrator is made from is more rigid than flesh and if you're using it for penetratiuon, you'll want to be extra careful not to penetrate too forcefully. If you use one, make sure that it's clean.
In these instances, a vibrator would not be safe: If you have placenta previa, using a sex toy (or, for that matter, having intercourse) could traumatize the placenta and cause heavy bleeding that might jeopardize your pregnancy. If you're at risk for premature labor, having an orgasm could cause contractions. And if your water has broken and you insert a sex toy, there's a risk of infection to the baby.

You will be fine as long as you are careful and your doctor says it is fine. It is always best to ask a doctor that knows your background.

I used toys with my first pregnancy and am using them during my current and have not had any problems.. But if you are concerned I would consult your OB as awkward as that would be :/
