Is the Jimmyjane Little Chroma worth the money?

Contributor: Ms. Paprika Ms. Paprika
Hi EF,
I saw that Jimmyjane products are now 20% off and was wondering if the little chroma was worth the $100 price tag.
I enjoy external vibrations over internal, it's actually nearly silent, and generally like rumbly vibes, which this seems to have.
I'm also drawn to the "forever" aspect of the vibrator, since it has a replaceable motor.
My main concern is the lack of an off-switch-I have roommates so if they unexpectedly came home to turn off the vibrator I'd have to unscrew the cap, which I've heard is when it gets loud.

Hmm.

I personally decided not to get any of the JJ Little Metal series when I found out that the vibrations are not a very high rating (I think its like 3/5? Something like that?). That alone tells me that, as cute and lovely as they are, they will NOT get much use from me as I require very strong vibration to get off on. I adore my JJ Form 6, but that is another case of working well in a situation where I am already engaged in sex and the vibe is a cherry on top--the Form 6 is right at the line of not being strong enough to orgasm from by itself.

I still think they kick serious ass, and I will eventually get one to add to the Collectors' collection (toys meant to be seen, not touched). As far as play goes, though... I cannot justify the cost.

That being said, I do not think $100 is a waste of money when a reliable, quality toy is in question.

I've spent too much money on toys that don't get the job done, and I've had some very inexpensive toys that are more than capable.

If you like stronger vibrations, all the other good things about the toy don't really make up for the lack of strength. The vibrations are good though, at least for me. It's certainly not a powerhouse and while I can orgasm quickly with my Little Chroma it also does take me longer to do so. The near silence and the "forever" aspect are the best parts of the vibrator. Having to unscrew it can be a pain in the ass, but if you attach a keyring to the end of it you should be able to do it more quickly and control the noise level.

I have absolutely no desire for this. I think it's just an over priced plain vibe. There is nothing grand about it.
I'd MUCH rather put my money into companies like Lelo!

With all high companies, we're paying a lot for the name. JJ take it to the extreme.

I'm not really interested in the style of vibe anyway, so any price wouldn't really be worth it to me. I could easily spend that much on other Jimmyjane products, though. Specifically the massage stuff

I love JJ but it only has one speed and I've heard it's pretty weak so I would pass.

I say it is very expensive for a weak one speed vibe. The best things about it are the "ever-last" and it quietness.

I voted other because JJ does occasionally offer pretty drastic sales on it's little gold and little platinum models. I got the $399 little platinum for under a 100 on such a sale. You might want to sign up for their newsletter and see if a sale on them pop up again.

Thanks for the feedback everyone-I guess all that hype about it "being the right frequency" might be just hype?

I have no idea if it's worth it or not. I personally would never pay that much for a vibrator. My limit is $75 at the most.
