old school or new school?

I'm not very well informed on the evolution of vibrators from old school to new school but turn dial straight vibes don't scream old school to me, they scream cheap! When I think of old school sex toys it's more Hitachi or traditional phallic dildos. Either way I think new school vibrators and toys are awesome just because the shapes and features are dictated by function, stimulation and performance.
