Problem with the Roulette All on Red?

I bought one of these during the Labor Day sale. It came in, I put in batteries and tested it out; loved it at first, but when I was about done (approx. 45 minutes in), it started doing something weird. It was turned up to full power, but suddenly the vibrations got really weak and it was pulsating strangely instead of a steady vibration. I thought maybe it was just a battery hog, so I took the batteries out and changed them, but then it wouldn't turn on at all unless I shook it some, and then it was sporadic and weak. So I figured "okay, it's just defective" and sent it back for a replacement.

Well, the replacement arrived today and it just did the same thing. I really don't know what to do at this point. Any advice? Has anyone else run into this problem with this vibe?

I don't think I've ever kept mine on that long in one sitting before. If you really like it, I'd try to exchange for a third one. I know I've had a toy that I ended up getting two defective ones of. To me it wasn't worth trying it again, so I just had that assignment canceled and tried something else.

Yeah, I think I'll just get it exchanged again.

We like ours but never put it through that much of a work out. If I was going to go beyond 5-10 minutes with a vibe, I'd go with a plug in. Nothing full consistent AC power for a marathon session.

@Gunsmoke thanks for the info! This is my first high end vibrator. The others I have are all $11-$15 dollar range ones that can go for that long no problem, so I wasn't aware that it would potentially be a problem.

I don't have a Roulette, but I've run into something similar with one of my vibes and, with mine, it seems to be a heat issue when using it for a long time.

The first time it started weakening & eventually stopped, I figured it needed batteries. Changing the batteries fixed it. A few minutes later, it started weakening again with the new batteries. While trying to figure out the problem, I noticed the batteries were pretty warm when I took 'em out, so I thought the cheapish batteries I was using might be inadequate. I got some better batteries & that helped. The vibe will still slow down & stop eventually, but not nearly as soon & I'm generally done before it happens. If it does happen, I just swap out the batteries for another set that aren't all heated up & it's fine. So, basically I have two pairs of batteries for that vibe which I occasionally have to swap if the vibe gets too hot & slows down. A bit annoying, but it's keeping me happy while I shop for a replacement.

Your problem is not quite the same, since you still had problems after changing the batteries, but you might see if the battery contacts are getting overly hot and/or if they have gotten squished so they aren't making consistent contact with the battery ends. It might just be an issue of taking a screwdriver & pushing the contacts up a bit, in that case. (Had that happen with a flashlight. LoL). Can't hurt to take a look at that and also see if your batteries are getting overly warm.

Beyond that, I don't have any brilliant insights, but if you want to make another exchange or whatever, the more information you can give the manufacturer, the better. It helps them correct those issues in future models, hopefully.

Hello finally someone that has been having the same issue as me!! I got mine as a birthday gift and like you I have sent mine back and received the replacement and its been a little under 3 months and the same problems have been going on for the past two weeks. Its really frustrating since I got it as a gift and don't want to tell the person that they have to send it back again for the same problems. Or worse have them spent their money in vain.

I honestly dont know what do to at this point. I've contacted the website so hopefully someone will give me a clue lol

When it is working its great but this is really putting a damper on a fun experience.

I have 2 from the Roulette series, not this particular model though. I have no problems with either of them but I also do not leave them going that long. I think the longest would be 15-20.

I haven't had problems with mine either. I never really pay much attention to the time when I'm in play mode, but I know I had it on the other day for quite a while - probably 30 minutes or so.

I've had vibrators that have done this. But it was always because the low battery. Hopefully it doesn't happen with all of these specific items.

Had the same exact problem with my all on red! Really sucked, it was like we snapped the top wiring or something. When ever I played with the tip it would come back on for a few seconds, then die again. Finnaly gave up and sent it back. Took a month for the replacement to arrive. Plus the free toy they sent along died within 10 minutes. Love the company to death, but man when they suck...they suck.

I've never had any issues with mine, but Evolved CS is excellent. I hope they could help.
