Recycling Old Sex Toys

Hi!
I was wondering what are environmentally safe ways to throw away [old used] sex toys? Is there a recycling program or are there disposal programs? Is it safe to put in the recycling bin (for silicone vibrators, especially the rechargeable ones) if those are not options? Thank you!

They are simply trash. No municipal or commercial recycling program take silicone. There are not many recycling programs for Li-ion batteries, but if you can find one, you'll have to disassemble each toy to extract the batteries.

I have at various times participated in groups that offered their used toys for sale or swap. Some find it gross, but I got a great deal on Njoy Eleven - it's pretty easy to sterilize stainless steel. I just don't think there were enough people willing to buy used toys to make it worthwhile. I know of no such portals at this point - but if you look hard you might find one.

Dear purpleness,
In fact, we have a smart recycling program you could use. Hop on here to explore the program and get a $5 voucher that would allow you to send in as many toys as you want in one package! We will take care of them because staying eco-friendly is one of our major priorities. Thank you for the question, by the way - we are blessed with such a mindful community
