Same toy, different power source.

If a toy comes in both a battery operated and rechargeable version, which would you get?

Spend less and pay for batteries. Or spend more and not have to buy batteries.

I'd rather spend more and get the rechargeable. Because depending on the life of the toy and how often you use it, buying batteries, in combination with the toy could potentially end up costing you more than the rechargeable toy.

I usually get the rechargeable version. I do use rechargeable batteries in my battery operated toys, but if I have the choice I go with rechargeable power source. Though I do prefer the power of plug-in toys.

I would absolutely go for rechargeable. In my experience, rechargeable toys last a long time and I get a lot of use out of them. Batteries aren't cheap, so the cost, especially for my favorite toys, isn't a factor I consider.

I usually get the rechargeable version of most everything now. I use to get battery powered everything but batteries get pretty expensive

I would purchase the rechargeable version, unless the battery powered version were more powerful, or something like that.

It depends on the toy. I want the Mystic Wand Original for example, because Dangerous Lilly did a side by side review and it won out over its rechargeable and miniature siblings. Then there's some rechargeable vibes that don't have a very long play time, which is frustrating if you take a while to orgasm, and there's the fact that someday your beautiful luxury vibe won't hold a charge And will need to be replaced. And yet... those rechargeable vibes tend to much quieter than their battery-run counterparts, but wait, does that decrease in noise suggest less power?
Pros and cons, cons and pros.

If it is a toy I know I will like then I buy the rechargeable. if I am not sure then I normally buy the lower end.

"and there's the fact that someday your beautiful luxury vibe won't hold a charge" That's what I'm worried about with buying a really expensive rechargeable one

I'd rather just buy a cheaper one and use rechargeable batteries. More play time, I can't leave toys out to charge for hours because I don't live alone, and you even have more options in toys.

People say batteries are so expensive but I payed only 25 for a charger and 4 AA and 4 AAA from eneloop on amazon which is a very good brand.

Take into consideration that you typically pay 20-50+ more for the ability to be rechargeable I think that's a pretty good deal since those batteries can be charged up to 1,500 times and I'm able to have a few sessions before they even need recharging on most toys.

I really hate batteries. Even if the toy is cheaper, in a long haul with batteries it will end up costing a lot more than any rechargeable toy. Plus batteries are not environmentally friendly. Most of the toys I like are rechargeable anyway, so I never have a dilemma of choosing.

I prefer rechargeable toys. Sadly, my latest purchase is a battery operated vibe, seemed like most of the new vibrators (except for the Jopen Envy series) are battery operated - if I insisted on buying rechargeables only - I'll probably end up with no new vibes!

I only have two rechargeable toys at the moment. I would probably spend more and get the rechargeable one as well. I hate having to go out and get batteries and it sucks when you have little ones because they always need them. Even my rechargeable AA batteries get used a lot.
