It does not get in the way of anything but it does get heavy if you use it a long time. Propping it up or using an Axis works really well for that problem.

It depends on what you want out of it. Personally, I can't imagine using it during partner sex, although I can't say that I've tried--it's just too bulky, and I don't want to spend all of my time figuring out how to position it and untangling myself/my boyfriend from the cord. I've never had an issue with the size using it solo, but I do tend to like vibration over a broad area--if you like pinpoint stimulation this isn't for you.
