I am new to the whole toys thing really. The idea came to me when I was planning a surprise camping get a way for me and my husband for this coming weekend. We are having our 5th wedding anniversary and I wanted to surprise him with some semi kinky stuff we could try together. We have not really been away together just the two of us since our honeymoon 5 yrs ago. There is a little of my history, but now I would like to ask a question. How do you decide what toy to get? The idea of a wireless remote egg or bullet sounds exciting to me. I wanted to get one for this weekend. I bought one off ebay and it arrived and it looks very cheaply made, the seller claimed it reached 60 ft and other stuff and it said nothing of this on the packaging and it looked like the package had been opened. On top of this it takes weird sized batteries that were not included. I sent it back after talking to the seller. So now no wireless remote toy for me and hubby over the weekend. I am still looking for one for other times or even potentially every day use, but don't want to spend big bucks and find out I don't like it or it's not what I thought it was. So, any suggestions for toys to use with my husband to either give us some variety to use on each other, together or just to enhance would be great! I have found some on here that just by looking at it would have no idea how it even works. So if you suggest something make sure it's simple to use or include how it is used. Thank you!

Which ones were you looking at? Reading reviews on the toys is often a good way to get instructions on how they're used.

If you've never had a toy before, my personal suggestion would be to go with something very basic, so you can get a handle on what you like and what you'd want out of your next toy - a smooth plastic vibrator with a turn-dial base is a great choice for many beginners, and most run on either AA or AAA batteries. Most of them are fairly cheap, too, and they're highly versatile. Or you could get a kit that comes with several toys (like this one link for instance).

A couple of other things to consider: do you have a certain size in mind? Would you prefer the toy to be waterproof? Do you think you might prefer something hard, or something with a little more give? You might not be able to answer until you've experimented a little, but if you do have some idea, it can help narrow down your search.

To decide on what I want I think about what exactly I want to do with it, either a clit toy or a toy for penetration. Then I look at the material and price. I don't like jelly so go for plastic or velvety coated plastic or silicone even though silicone can be spendy. I like cute looking toys that are pink and purple or come in a cute box for storage ect.

It's not wireless but it works really good and I wrote a review on it. It's called a Candies Bullet. I love mine! Or you could look at Bottle Rockets from Evolved. They are really cute and great for beginners. =] I'd say just pick something that really gets your attention but make sure you read reviews first! You don't want to buy something that sucks. =p
