What toy was your biggest disappointment

What toy was your biggest disappointment

I'm often guilty of psyching myself up for a toy that does not live up to the high expectations I've created and I'm just curious what you were so looking forward to that just didn't live up to the hype.

For me, it was my first rabbit. After Sex in the City, I thought I found a gem, only to learn it didn't work for me. What about you?

Rabbits are always a disappointment for me. But the biggest disappointment was the Eroscillator.

I only have three candidates for this, and none of them were particularly heartbreaking.

a) a set of vibrating anal beads from Doc Johnson, for which I paid a whopping ten bucks, and ended up in the trash heap. However, I kept the controller, took it apart, and used it as a dimmer on a lamp, so all was not lost.

b) the Water Dancer, which a dishonest Amazon seller sent me when I tried to get a great deal on the Vibratex Rosebud. While it was a disappointing and frustrating shopping experience, and the toy was crap, I was never hyped for the crappy toy, so I'm not sure it qualifies. The Rosebud, which I ordered a second time, this time on EF, is an awesome toy.

c) the Cal Exotics Mini Oscillator, which I knew was problematic before I even ordered it, but which I tried anyway. I was expecting a challenge, so I can't say it was exactly a disappointment, but I did find a way to make it work, and if nothing else, it is unique.

So, basically, I've never been excited over a specific toy, received it, and had it fail. It takes a combination of having a good sense of what specific shapes feel like, the willingness to spend for quality (or the unwillingness to risk having to store junk, maybe), and a bit of patience to always give a new toy a fair shake by trying it in different ways.

Tuesday- Wow! I've heard a lot of great things about the eroscillator. And for the price you expect it to live up. Can I ask what you didn't like?

ToyGeek- Knowing your body seems to be the key to making a toy work. That's the hard thing about being young and getting into toys is learning your body and not spending your hard earned cash on things that don't suit you. It took me a long time to learn that.

Most any new toy I present to my wife is a disappointment. She finds nothing comparable to her Eroscillator 2 deluxe with the grapes attachment.

I would go with my first rabbit as well. Everyone was raving about them and I was just like meh. I think rabbits are a poor fit for me. I found the rotating beads.....odd. Not sure if I'd ever try another like that. Maybe someday I'll try another...
