I also meant that yes, the safety rating affects whether I'd buy it. I don't buy toys that are unsafe.

Sometimes. If it's not that bad of a material and I'm the only one who is going to be using it, then it doesn't bother me as much. But if it's something that I'm not 100% sure I'm going to like, I'd rather it be something really safe and something that I can sterilize and pass on.
