How do those compare? Are the usb toys as powerful as the regular rechargeable ones? I would love to try one but hesitate since I do need more vrooom.

I think each toy is unique and doesn't have to do with the USB or normal rechargeable capabilities. Some normal rechargeable vibes are stronger than others like Je Joue's Uma vs Lelo's Gigi. The only USB rechargeable item I have is the Bedroom Kandi lipstick vibe and it's a 3 vroom but I don't fault the charging capabilities of it- just the product.

Mia and one of the Fairies are USB-charged and quite powerful. I think it's a wonderful idea: you just need your computer - no charger to lose or forget to take with you, no problems with different outlets (if you buy on EF but live in UK or Europe).

The way a toy charges won't affect the power, it comes down to the motor. It so happens that toys that are rechargeable via USB are sold as 'discreet' and are thus small, and big enough to hold a small motor. The LELO Mia is one of these vibes, yet is quite powerful as long as you get the latest version. And as Wild Orchid said, USB charging is really convenient, especially if you take your toys travelling.

I charge my Mia in my car stereo's USB port! I love it! Perfect for me being on the go (I often crash at a family member's house to be closer to work). I think she's at least as powerful as her big sister Liv who is charged via AC. I echo the statements of others that the charging method shouldn't really affect the motor strength.
