I'm not partial to mechanical toys unless it's a simple vibrator with multiple settings. Functions such as thrusting or rotating don't appeal to me because I prefer to have the control over my thrusts, and rotating toys have done nothing for me in the past that I've tried, even the rabbits with the beads. I'm a simple girl, give me a dildo and a vibrator any day.

I have a vibe with a rotating shaft. the rotating isn't powerful enough beyond just feeling it. I'd like to have a vibe where the shaft does rotate but strongly so it would give me pleasure.

I like both thrusting and rotation I am easily overwhelmed into numbness with straight vibrations, so at first I was really happy to find the pulse setting on some vibes; that was when I first discovered that vibrations actually could feel good. Then I found the rotating vibes (both beaded and non) and those work really well for me. In fact, I prefer not to have the clit arm of a rabbit running, just the rotation. I can feel even the most subtle of movement inside and I love it! However, I still did not find thrusting a toy to feel good -- that is until the Stronic Eins arrived and blew my mind! I do have to be very worked up though before I can handle the Stronic. Interestingly, both thrusting & rotating sensations are best for me on the lower settings, same as with vibration. I think I am just very sensitive and therefore, I do better with less powerful rumbles as opposed to more (at least initially, but I can handle higher settings toward the end as I approach my climax).

On the higher settings, even my PC muscles & their kung fu grip can't stop it from moving - and that's saying something! I know Antipova mentioned in her review of the Vr10.5 that even she couldn't stop the rotation on the high settings and she says she can stop most.

Answering for my wife. When we got our first 'rabbit' she wouldn't let me use the rotation function - but once she tried it - she really liked it and still does. We've never had a thrusting toy - job security for me

It completely depends on how large the toy is & how strong the thrusts are. I've found that most rotation/thrusting toys lack power & make an annoying high-pitched noise when used. They usually come as rabbit-style vibrators, so I just end up using them just for that purpose because they tend to lose power when all the functions are turned on.
