I look at all 3, color being the least important, but I am a sucker for pretty colors and specific ones I like, so yeah, i take it into consideration too.

Of your 3 options, I would say size. I do not like them to large but do not care for little ones either. So size if my 1st factor then color/appearance.

I like certain shapes, I love those that are realistically sized but shaped to hit your gspot. oh man totally. But I'll tell you the one thing that is a deal breaker for me and any vibe or toy.... its smell and texture. I hate it when they are super sticky, and I hate it when that plastic smell is just everywhere. I want my guy to be able to use a vibe on me and still want to be.. well everywhere the vibe has been! lol I do not like above average sized/girth Because I dont want to get used to that.I'd hate to not enjoy my man in bed cuz Im all used to some fake dick.lol

Shape and size. A nice color is a plus, but it doesn't help the dildo do the job.

I'm a sucker for looks, but I know I'll always disappoint myself if I base it off color and extra prettiness alone so I have to force myself to look at width. Length, not so much.

Length becomes more important if you're using it with someone else, because a short dildo is more likely to fall out and a long dildo just might be inserted all the way, even if it's a long term partner. Accidents do happen.

Shape size and of course the material. I prefer silicone, and have some plastic but am willing to look into steel eventually. TPR is an OK, but I prefer silicone.

But, usually shape and size. The color isn't that big of a deal, since I'm not usually looking at it while it's in use. I have a really nice Jet Black Body Vibe by JoyDivision. The color is a plus. My Man likes the color and the shape to use on me also. He was pretty excited when I showed it to him. As opposed to the pink Fun Factory vibe I bought a while ago, he laughed because it was pink and then commented that it was "bigger" than he was. It wasn't. But, he didn't say anything of the type when he saw The Body and it's a little bigger than my Fun Factory vibe.

But, again, material, safe materials are important.

Well, personally, I really think all THREE are most important (well, at lest COLOR is important to MOST females..dunno about MALES, tho)...

I would definitely take size AND shape into consideration..for SURE!! Color would come last; but don't think I am saying that it's LEAST important. Let me tell you..I'd take a pink/blue/purple sex-toy over a tawny/brown one ANY day!!

I also look at the material as that is something that could be a possible health hazard for some. Also, I am pretty lazy so I usually want to make sure that the cleaning is fairly easy. Not to mention that they toy will last a while. I don't want something that will short circuit while I'm using it either.

Safe Material- This is a high priority for us.
Size- We have learned our limits. If it is too big, it won't get used.
Shape- curved or straight, tapered, bulbous all have their advantages
Texture- we prefer silky smooth with no seams or spots to irritate sensitive bits
Price- Budget is a factor, but...you gotta pay to play!
Color- color choices are always good, but it's not high on our priority list

I think it's a little of everything. A big consideration is size for me, too big and it's not gonna be comfortable. Then shape is my next big consideration, since different shapes have different sensations!
Like other people have said too, I also am on a budget so that is a big factor. And I do look at performance reviews, if they're there. I don't want one to break on me during the second use!

I always look for shape first, since I prefer G-spot vibrators.

Has to be size followed by shape.

For me it's always a girth thing, followed by colour. For some reason I truly dislike anything thats flesh like in colour, I much prefer bright and unconventional colours

I checked size and shape but honestly the first thing I look for is sound. Got three kids and grandma living in my house with me and hubby so sound is one of the biggest factors. Not that I don't have loud toys it's just one of those things. Don't always like waiting for everyone to be outta the house before I can use a toy. Material is another because I prefer the safer toys. Then we get around to size and shape least of all is the color (although gotta admit there are some colors that make me think...seriously lol)

Shape and size is important. Certain textures and shapes don't work for me. If there's a ridge that is going to hurt on the way in or out, it's probably not for me.

I look for material as the most important feature, but color and size matter a lot to me,.

I voted for size, but I also look for shape. I don't care for realistic looking dildos. Color isn't a priority, but I would prefer a color other than pink and purple, especially pink.

I look for safe materials first. Size and shape and overall look as well. Color isn't as important, but I will admit that toys with my favorite colors will immediately get a look to see if I could enjoy it. I also get bummed if something is of a color I hate, like pink or purple, but I will get it anyway. Example: the bent graduate. I had to have this to see what all the hype was about. It only comes in pink. I love this toy, but felt it could have had a longer handle. Then the Amethyst came out. Same shape but a bit longer handle. It was purple, but I can deal with purple more than pink, so I bought it too. I have since given my bent graduate to a friend.
I guess it really depends on what I am looking for. If I am looking for gspot specific toy, the shape and rigidity of the material is going to be most important. If I am just looking for a vibe, I might take my time to find one in a color I like. Also, I REFUSE to buy a toy made out of Jelly. That stuff is just bad. I do own some rubber dongs, but only because you can't get something as realistic in silicone. If they even come close they are way more expensive.

Size and firmness. You have to consider these two factors together. And firmness also determines how easily tolerated the texture on a textured dildo will be to take.

I can't believe 'dildo' isn't in EF's dictionary.

On my last purchase the Lelo Ella it was material, then shape. I bought black because I like black, but color isn't that important to me.

Come to think of it, I don't have any green or blue sex toys (OK, my Hitachi is blue and white, but you really don't get to pick a color, unless you go with "you-know-who's" (an other sex toy site, not nearly as nice as Eden) rip off lower power Hitachi remake. That one is red. I've heard it is not as powerful as the Hitachi by any length.)

P'Gell - what did you think of the Ella? I looked at it but we already have the Sugar - an almost identical shape but somewhat larger. We like the Sugar - but I'm afraid the Ella would be too small.

I look at the shape first and then size and material. Colour's not too important to me, unless it's just seriously unappealing. But definitely shape and size - no point in getting something if it's too large or too awkward for me to use.
