I was injured a while back and now my lower back, hip and thigh muscles tend to get very tight and painful. I was looking at various vibrators and noticed the massagers and that some people actually use them for massage as well using them for sexual stimulation. I've used both the hitachi and wahl. i prefer the hitachi.

I love my Hitachi and my Wahl, but I prefer the Wahl for sore muscles. It just seems like a more penetrating vibration. Plus, it has all those attachments for different areas of the body.

I say the Hitachi but.. be careful. More times than not I ended up hurting myself even worse. The most terrible time was when I had some kind of muscle tenseness in my shoulder/neck so I ran it over with the Hitachi pretty good and it felt amazing, until 10 minutes later it felt 3 times worse. I went to bed and woke up the next morning paralyzed with pain. It was crazy. It took a week for me to get back to normal. So yeah, make sure not to aggravate any serious problems and all will be well

If it needs to be pulverized, the Hitachi will do nicely. If you need a specific spot massaged, I think the Wahl is actually better. Bit harder to hold, though.
