This may sound crazy but we just got our Roulette Croupier yesterday and as we opened the neat little case it comes in, we were like, "Wow - our first 'luxury' item". At least for us - it was a luxury because we have never had a toy come with a case or bag or anything like that.

As I look at Evolved Novelties, I notice that many of their items are in neat little cases.

Anyway - I'm just wondering - what is it that makes a toy a luxury item?

Other than a high price tag? LOL

I'd say high quality material and performance. Long lasting in terms of lifespan. I'm big on fancy packaging for "luxury" items. If I drop $200 you better spend some time making the box look nice, you know? Not as important as if it's a good toy or anything but I really do like a nice package.

Brands that come to mind - Lelo, Jimmyjane, Je Joue, Njoy, Jopen. There's others I know but my mind just died on me. I'm sure other posters will fill in the ones I missed.

In my experience, for vibrators, the major line tends to be rechargeable vs non. There are some vibrators that break this rule, but most seem to fall into it.

When I think luxury, I think rechargeable batteries, premium materials, travel lock, storage case or bag, and quality motors.

To me, "luxury toy" implies high-quality materials, durability, and if it vibrates: a long lifespan (or even a warranty, like Lelo offers) and rechargeable as opposed to battery-operated. Nice packaging doesn't hurt, either, especially if you're spending a lot of money on it (at least a good storage bag or something).

I'd say high quality material, well-built, rechargeable, long-lasting, comes with a warranty, and has a good amount of power to it.
