Would you buy a second hand vibe?

Contributor: Sangsara Sangsara
I've bought a few silicone vibes for next to nothing and I'm curious whether other people find that appropriate or not? If you saw a negative review for a toy you still wanted would you message them and ask to buy it?

I prefer a new toy... the only one I would ever get 2nd hand would be the Eleven, not just because it's sterilizable, but also because there are no working parts. I don't have to worry about the motor giving out. I don't have to question the quality of an Njoy product.

Though I prefer to have new toys. I will purchase second hand toys if the material can be cleaned thoroughly and and the price is right. It doesn't bother me that someone else used it because it's no different than allowing the equipment at the OBGYN to enter my body. I know that is used by many and by those that have diseases. I trust the Dr office cleans then properly. I wouldn't trust that someone cleaned them properly before sending. So I would do it myself.

I have quite a few toys that I've gotten from other people. I always clean them after I get them just to be sure, but as long as they aren't jelly or rubber I don't mind. I especially don't mind if they're from someone that I know online! If I didn't I never would have gotten my Isis dildo, which I just love.

I don't see an issue with it as long as it is safe, but for me, no.

Not something I'd consider, but I have enough that the price difference wouldn't affect me as much as the peace of mind.

No, I'm just too paranoid about health issues. I have a couple silicone toys I don't want anymore but I don't even want to offer them to my friend because I just think it's gross and she would be grossed out even though both of us are clean. I just don't think I could get over the thought that it was in someone else's vagina....that I don't know.

I prefer new toys, but as long as the used toy is able to be sterilized, I have no problem buying used.

I would prefer mine to be new, but I don't see anything wrong with it if the toy can be safely steralized. I like what Beck commented about the OBGYN and their tools.

I prefer brand new toys and I'm really against buying anything like this used. It bothers me even if it is something that can be boiled and sanitized. I will only purchase new toys.

As long as it was sanitizeable I would buy one secondhand. Materials like silicone, glass and stainless that I know I can clean are fine. I might be hesitant about plastic though, not all plastics are created equal.

I totally thought this poll was about a second vibe for my other hand...second hand versus secondhand. lol

As long as it's sterilizable and in good condition, I have no problem with it.
