I dated a guy off and on for 10 years. He was 28 years older than me. Honestly it wasn't the best thing for me, but I was young and made some bad decisions. Now I would want to date someone no more than 10-12 years older.

I see this question sparked lots of good conversation! Bringing it back to the original post, the biggest age difference for me in a long term relationship is 8 years, 2 months and 28 days.

I've had two long-term relationships. And they were both born in the same month I was.

Current relationship is 16 years difference, last relationship was 18 years difference. Age is a number, sometimes the gap causes minor issues but overall it works.

There is 17 years between my husband & I. He is 3 years older than my oldest son. They are great beer-drinking buddies. LOL! My hubby is also a step-grandpa at the ripe young age of 27.
