How many of you get a bit of a surprise when you realize your age--compared to how old you feel you are?

I am 42 and when I am forced to remember that I feel a bit of wonder and shock. I still feel like I am in my later twenties to early thirties. I still fully participate in my adrenaline fixes and have a high sex drive...everything I assumed went away as you got older. I also do not feel as old, wise and responsible as I think a 40something person should feel.

Anyone else surprised at the years creeping up on them?

Yes, I do (even though I'm only 19). Things like applying for internships and looking at apartments make me realize that I'm not a 16-year-old who still lives at home. One event that made me feel old was when Hillary Duff had a baby. Lizzie McGuire can't be old enough to have a kid!

It really seems to make no difference to me that I am getting older. It is not something that you can stop so why change how you think as you get older. The thing I find amazing that my parents were right. The older you get the faster time goes by.
