Sexy is sexy, and what's flattering on a person is very dependent upon that person. Their age may have nothing to do with it. In general, I'm in favor of people wearing what they feel most comfortable in, and I can definitely say, in my opinion, that there are plenty of sexy 40+ year old women who can pull off shorter skirts.

To me it is all about the way you feel, your body type etc. If you wear the clothes you like. You fit your body type then you can't go wrong ever. I am short 5'1 so if I wear a long skirt it make me look shorter. Now I cant wear to short of a skirt it makes me feel uncomfortable. But I get mine to come about 4" or so above the knee. Plus if all else fails look at the great actress that are above your age and see the great skirts they wear.
