After sex I usually have the urge to pee and I will go if I need to. I don't however if I don't have the urge. I dont do it as a precaution.

Absolutely - after every sexual encounter. My wife tends to like being on top. When she does that, she seems to grind on the head of my erection driving 'things' into the opening of my urethra. Flushing it out is important to prevent UTIs.

I notice that both of my guys generally NEED to pee after sex. It's not a bad thing to flush things out as one of my guys has an irritable prostate and peeing after sex seems to stop it from getting grouchy. Also let's him know if he's headed for a flare up!
