I have also experienced an orgasm without ejaculating. Sometimes it just happens. I think most of it revolves around pelvic floor muscle control. But I have never really done either intentionally.

I do occasionally while jerking off. They are usually only a partial ejaculation, a couple of spurts. Then I go right back to masturbating. It is usually unintentional from when I push myself so close to the edge and then stop suddenly.
