I will usually just trim however when I want everything "down there" completely smooth for the day I will shave. if you are worried about cutting yourself use a decent electric shaver and only use it for that area. if you are going to use a manual razor for the love of all thats holy don't use an old or cheap razor and use a shaving gel to help things go along smoothly.

This is why you should use a cream/gel hair remover down there. It's much more humane, and you won't have to worry about slicing something you shouldn't!

As long as you are careful and using a sharp razor and plenty of gel you should be alright.

I learned the hard way to always use a brand new razor also that same day learned how bad one of those styptic (the little white crayon looking thing)pens burns. Needless to say i always trim w/ electric on pubic area and shave my balls in the shower.

Have a body trimmer that does a good job. What I have learned from painful experience is to pull the skin taught, especially on the scrotum, lest it get caught in those unforgiving teeth of the razor head. You want to avoid that, trust me.

Yes! and OUCH!.. Learned to hold and control the razor a bit differently now.

I was using clippers once and got some skin caught in the teeth. It wasn't really painful and it only bled a little.

I have a little. That's why I now use a body groomer made for the genitals. I have a female friend who used scissors when she was younger and learning to trim and actually cut her clitoris in half. I have never used scissors for that very reason.

I have definitely nicked the skin with a razor... wasn't that painful. With trimmers I have caught little folds of skin and that hurt more.
